Chase Corder is a litigation attorney focusing primarily on defending personal injury claims encompassing a broad range of negligence and tort actions, including motor vehicle accidents, premises liability cases, animal attacks, dram shop/wrongful death actions, and Texas Non-Subscriber claims.
Before joining Thompson Coe, Chase worked for a boutique law firm specializing in insurance defense and litigation for large corporations. He has also worked for a large personal injury plaintiff firm and uses that knowledge and experience to better defend his clients.
He has a strong background in insurance, both from growing up as the son of an insurance agent, and from practicing law in various insurance plaintiff and defense scenarios. Now, Chase uses his robust insurance background and litigation experience to defend clients.
Born and raised in Texas, Chase has resided in the Dallas area for most of his life. He received his undergraduate degree at Texas Christian University, earning a double major in Accounting and Finance. Upon graduation, he used his business acumen to gain first-hand experience in the insurance industry, learning a great deal about insurance from the perspective of a client.
Chase earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. As a law student, he participated in a trial advocacy mock trial and worked as a student attorney in the SMU Civil Clinic. He was later chosen to be Chief Counsel of the SMU Civil Clinic, during which time he won a maximum damage award for an indigent client. While in law school, he interned for a Justice in the Fifth Court of Appeals and for a Federal District Court Magistrate in the Eastern District of Texas.
In his spare time, he enjoys camping, bicycling, tennis, and quoting TV shows and movies.
