Stephen P. Bega manages and assists in defense of claims including personal injury, general insurance defense, construction defect claims, commercial liability claims, toxic tort, and products liability claims.

His practice focuses on representing businesses and insurance companies involved in personal injury and property damage litigation in State and Federal Courts throughout Texas.

Stephen brings his substantial experience working at defense law firms for over two decades for some of the nation’s largest insurance companies to a setting that permits more individualized client attention and heightened focus on efficiently achieving client objectives.

He has tried multiple cases in state and federal courts across Texas.

Representative Experience

First Chair Trial Experience in Federal Courts, State District Courts, and State County Courts in courts in the State of Texas including Travis County, Dallas County, Harris County, Hidalgo County, Cameron County, Webb County, Maverick County, Potter County, El Paso County, Limestone County, Rusk County, San Patricio County, Nueces County, Bexar County, Tarrant County, Midland County, Lubbock County, Montgomery County, Williamson County, Caldwell County, Bell County, McLennan County, Hays County, Llano County, and Brazos County.

Argued appellate matters before the Texas 3rd Court of Appeals.

Prepared appellate briefs for a Federal criminal appointment up to the United States Supreme Court.

Represented clients in dozens of contested hearings.

Represented clients in dozens of alternative dispute resolutions, including mediations and arbitrations.

Authored, argued and won multiple summary judgment motions in Texas State Courts and Federal Courts on behalf of large corporations and small business owners in personal injury lawsuits.

Represented numerous business clients in complex, multi-party lawsuits involving premises liability, product liability, construction defect, catastrophic injury and wrongful death.

Represented numerous insurance clients in lawsuits involving claims for breach of contract, bad faith, deceptive trade practices and Insurance Code violations.
