Benjamin Dunn primarily focuses his practice on insurance defense, civil litigation, and personal injury defense.
Prior to attending law school, he was a commercial truck driver for several carriers. Prior to becoming an insurance defense attorney, he worked on the plaintiff’s side of litigation. These experiences allow him to review client cases from many different perspectives.
He prides himself on his keen attention to detail and being able to hold others to their burden of proof and their answers in discovery.
Representative Experience
Persuaded two plaintiff’s attorneys to withdraw their representation of two different plaintiffs in a case in which the plaintiff’s own material fraud was presented to the plaintiff’s attorneys.
Obtained motion for summary judgment on all claims, in a premises liability matter involving an alleged dog attack at a client’s rental property.
Obtained favorable settlement at mediation after discovering material misrepresentations made by a plaintiff in her answers to discovery requests. After presenting this evidence at mediation, the settlement value of the case went from $500k and settled for less than $250k.
Obtained jury verdict in favor of client in a contested liability motor vehicle accident case. Plaintiff take nothing verdict.
