Thompson Coe Announces Eight New Partners

DALLAS – September 2019 – Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, L.L.P. is pleased to announce the election of nine new partners – Steven Augustine, Heather Beam, Angela Caffey, Christa Hykaway, Marne Jones, Chris Kaul, and David Khirallah. A brief overview of each partner is below:
Heather Beam – Heather Beam’s practice focuses on civil litigation in multiple areas, including construction law, professional liability, products liability, and personal injury. She regularly represents design professionals, general contractors, and subcontractors in complex, multi-party lawsuits in both state and federal court. Heather is a member of our Professional Liability section in the Austin office.
Angela Caffey – Angela Caffey is a member of the Professional Liability section in Dallas. Angela’s practice focuses on construction law, including construction defects, alleged design defects, and complex, multi-party cases in state and federal court. She represents design professionals (including architects, civil engineers, structural engineers, MEP engineers), general contractors, and subcontractors.
Christa Hykaway – Christa Hykaway defends companies and individuals in matters of premises liability, products liability, automobile/trucking accidents, industrial oilfield accidents, sporting accidents, dram shop liability, and medical malpractice. Christa also represents general contractors and property owners in workplace injury litigation. Christa is in our Dallas office and is a member of the General Liability/Catastrophic Injury and Products Liability sections.
Marne Jones – Marne Jones is a member of our Insurance Litigation and Coverage Section and in New Orleans. Marne’s practice focuses on civil defense litigation, including marine liabilities, environmental claims, construction defect, personal injury, bad faith, products liability, mass tort and, first and third party losses in the commercial/residential property context.
Chris Kaul – Chris Kaul practices in the Insurance Litigation, General Liability/Catastrophic Injury and Cyber Security sections in New Orleans. Chris has extensive experience in the areas of insurance litigation, coverage disputes, premises liability, products liability, wrongful death, professional liability, securities litigation and corporate governance. Chris also regularly advises individuals and business on issues relating to data privacy, data loss and breach response, cyber security, cyber liability insurance, and data protection best practices. Chris is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US).
