Thompson Coe Attorneys Secure Verdict in Legal Malpractice Case

Zandra E. Foley and John D. Gilpin, partners in the firm’s Houston office, secured a trial verdict on behalf of a law firm and its attorney in a legal malpractice case. Plaintiff sued the Defendant, his attorney in an underlying bankruptcy proceeding, alleging negligence for failure to convert his Chapter 7 Bankruptcy to a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. A Galveston County jury found Defendant could not have successfully converted the bankruptcy, rendering a take nothing verdict.
