Jun 7, 2013
Alison Moore, partner in the firm’s Dallas office, and Cory Reed, associate in the Houston office, secured a trial verdict on behalf of a law firm and its attorney in a legal malpractice case. Plaintiff sued the Defendants, his attorneys in an underlying personal injury lawsuit, alleging breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, and violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. A unanimous jury in Travis County agreed that plaintiff suffered no damages and found for Defendants on affirmative defenses of estoppel and ratification, rendering a take nothing verdict.
Angela Caffey, an associate in the Dallas office, assisted on this case.
