I began my career at Thompson Coe as a Summer Associate in 2007. I am now a Partner and what continues to impress me about Thompson Coe is how much the firm is still invested in my professional growth and success. What began as a two lawyer partnership in September 1951 has become the distinguished law firm of Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons today. There are now six office locations, which include more than 200 attorneys and a support staff of more than 200.

Your Summer Associate Experience
The Summer Associate program lasts six weeks with the primary goal of providing our Summer Associates with an accurate glimpse of life at Thompson Coe. Our program allows Summer Associates to demonstrate the qualities and skills we value as well as expose them to our firm culture. It also provides them an opportunity to interact with our attorneys in an informal atmosphere and gain practical experience.
Summer Associates will have assignments working with attorneys on real client matters, and may be given the opportunity to attend depositions, trials, hearings and client meetings. During the six-week program, Summer Associates are encouraged to attend section or business development meetings, Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars and technology training. To assist in becoming acclimated with the firm, each Summer Associate is assigned a mentor who is there to offer guidance and advice.
