Dallas Attorneys Obtain Summary Judgment in Debt Collection Suit

Dallas partner, Jason Jobe, and associate, Yesha Patel, obtained a summary judgment in favor of a national third-party debt collection agency sued on claims under the Texas Debt Collection Act.  The plaintiff alleged that Jason and Yesha’s client violated the statute by failing to provide a timely and proper validation of a medical debt owed by the plaintiff.  Following oral argument, the court agreed that the plaintiff’s claims were unsupported and granted a summary judgment dismissing all claims.
