Dallas Attorneys Prevail in Trial on Claims Against Debt Collector

Dallas attorneys Jason Jobe was recently successful in a bench trial defending claims against a third-party debt collector.  The plaintiff asserted causes of action and sought damages under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and the Texas Debt Collection Act arising from the debt collection firm’s efforts to collect an outstanding consumer debt on behalf of the creditor.  The court determined that Jason’s client fully complied with the applicable statutes and ordered that the plaintiff take nothing on the claims asserted.
