Thompson Coe is a firm where associates can grow professionally and personally in a collegial and open-door environment. Our associates work with partners one-on-one, they are given real responsibilities early on, and are presented with continual opportunities to gain knowledge they need to succeed in their careers.

Our engaging, team-oriented, and supportive environment meets the demands of our clients in the most effective and professional manner, and we take pride in hiring those who share our goals of providing the highest degree of legal services.

Mentoring

A partner in an associate’s practice section assumes the role of a mentor early in an associate’s career. The mentor oversees the general progress of the associate and offers guidance in all areas of client relationships and development, along with the core values of the firm. Some of the topics covered include how to be an effective team member, how to manage and supervise others, how to manage your workload as well as public speaking, networking and the elements of great client service. We strongly believe partner mentoring is critical to the professional development of our associates. The formal assignment of a principal mentor is intended to be a complement to and not a replacement for more informal mentoring between all partners and associates in the everyday work environment of the firm.

Training

Law school sets the foundation for practicing law, but Thompson Coe associates gain valuable experience and learn the practical aspects of practicing law. We offer hands-on training and provide constant opportunities to learn and develop exceptional legal skills.

Thompson Coe encourages associates to continue their legal education through outside training as well as in-house programs.
