On January 10, 2024, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) published a final rule revising guidance on determining who should be classified as an employee or independent contractor. The rule went into effect on March 11, 2024. This webinar will discuss the DOL’s new regulations concerning independent contractors and what this means for employers. We’ll look at some unique state rules as well, with the primary focus being understanding who is exempt from overtime, who isn’t, and what are and aren’t considered hours worked.
