DALLAS– September 2016 – Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, L.L.P. is pleased to announce the election of four new partners – Cy Haralson, Thomas Horan, Judy Marotti, and Pamela Woodside.

Cy Haralson is a member of the Insurance Litigation and Coverage section and is based in the Houston office. His practice focuses primarily on insurance coverage and defense, including complex, multi-party insurance coverage and bad-faith litigation involving general liability, environmental pollution, construction defects, directors and officers coverage, errors and omissions coverage, and commercial property insurance. Cy also regularly writes and presents on both fundamental and trending issues in insurance coverage litigation. Cy attended law school at the University of Texas School of Law.

Thomas Horan is an experienced litigator specializing in the defense of architects, attorneys, insurance agents, real estate agents, and accountants. He also defends premises liability claims and handles complex commercial litigation. Comfortable with multimillion dollar claims down to simple two party disputes, Tommy approaches every case with the same goal: a quick, efficient and advantageous resolution for his clients. Tommy is based in the Dallas office and is a member of the Professional Liability section. He received his law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.

Judy Marotti is a member of the Insurance Litigation and Coverage section and is based in the Los Angeles office. Marotti. Judy represents commercial lines insurers in matters including questions of coverage and “bad faith” with a focus on coverage issues involving complex environmental, asbestos, silica, chemical exposure, medical implant, and professional liability claims. Judy represents some of the largest and most sophisticated insurers in areas of liability, professional errors and omissions, bodily injury, property, umbrella and excess coverage. Judy received her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Judy likes to cook and play tennis in her spare time, lived in Tokyo for a year following law school, and is licensed to practice in New York, Illinois, and California.

Pamela Woodside concentrates her practice on litigation and counseling in all aspects of employment, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. She represents corporate and business organizations, nonprofit and charitable entities at both the federal and state level, in class actions involving wage and hour, misclassification, discrimination, Private Attorney General Act (PAGA) and unfair competition claims. Pamela is based in the Los Angeles office and is a member of the Labor and Employment and Professional Liability sections.  She attended law school at Boston University School of Law and is licensed to practice law in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York.
