DALLAS – January 2014 – Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, L.L.P. is pleased to announce the election of new partners – Brian Hensley and Jennifer Kearns.
Brian Hensley is a member of the Litigation and Products Liability & Mass Torts sections and is based in the Austin office. His practice focuses on handling a variety of casualty litigation claims involving allegations of product liability, premises liability, dram shop, general negligence, and other tort-related claims. Brian efficiently resolves wrongful death, catastrophic personal injury and property damage claims in both state and federal courts across Texas. He also has experience in defending contractors against construction defect claims and professional service providers in lawsuits involving allegations of professional negligence and misconduct.
Jennifer Kearns practice is focused on representing commercial and personal lines insurers in state and federal courts in matters involving allegations of breach of contract, “bad faith”, insurance code violations and deceptive trade practices. Her practice is highly focused on catastrophe litigation. She has handled numerous first-party residential and commercial property claims arising out of Hurricanes Rita, Ike and Dolly, and most recently, hailstorm litigation in Dallas, Hidalgo and Potter Counties. She also handles casualty claims stemming from allegations of premises liability, products liability, personal injury, and commercial litigation. Ms. Kearns is based in the Austin office and is a member of the Insurance Litigation & Coverage and Commercial sections.
