Partner Nancy Scates Joins Austin Office

Thompson Coe is pleased to announce the recent addition of Nancy Scates as a partner in the General Liability & Casualty section in our Austin office. Nancy has more than 20 years of experience defending clients, including personal injury, premises liability, general insurance defense, and construction defect claims.
Nancy has built her practice managing claims from case inception to settlement or trial throughout the state of Texas and in federal court. She has defended a Fortune 500 retailer in premises liability claims and a corporation in a multi-million-dollar chemical exposure lawsuit. She also has experience with Deceptive Trade Practices Action (DTPA) claims.
Nancy received her J.D. from SMU Dedman School of Law and her B.B.A. cum laude from the University of Oklahoma.
