New Orleans attorneys Christopher Kaul and Matthew Feigler obtained a summary judgment in a personal injury case dismissing their client with prejudice.

The case arose from an incident while the Plaintiff was working as an extra on the set of a television show filming in New Orleans. The Thompson Coe team, representing the production company, was able to persuade the court that the Plaintiff was attempting to circumvent Louisiana’s worker’s compensation immunity laws. The court ultimately found that the Plaintiff was a statutory employee whose exclusive remedy against the production company was in worker’s compensation and was barred from filing a tort claim.
