Information Technology Infrastructure and Security Administrator
The Information Technology Infrastructure and Security Administrator participates in the technical design, implementation and support of the Firm’s critical enterprise infrastructure, electronic security, and communications systems, including cloud hosted solutions. This position will be filled by an experienced engineer with a high level of technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills. We need a team player with exceptional customer service and communication skills. Attention to detail and documentation skills are required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Actively participate with the IT Director, IT Infrastructure & Security Manager, IT staff and vendors to select products, design and implement solutions to provide 99.999% availability of the Firm’s enterprise infrastructure and communications systems.
- Plays a substantial role in the maintenance and support of the firm’s security systems. Ensures that best practices are followed in the execution of security policy/procedures.
- Address and remediate security related alerts and events from multiple sources.
- Monitor and manage data back-up systems.
- Manage and execute project tasks in the implementation of infrastructure and communications technologies.
- Monitor and support network, virtual servers, storage, backup, unified communications (email/voice), document management, security, and other enterprise systems.
- Work closely with vendors and other Firm staff subject matter experts to support these goals.
- Serve as a point of escalation for support requests. Mentors and cross trains other staff members as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience
- VMWare ESXi, vCenter, (6.7 and higher).
- Microsoft:
- Extensive Active Directory and associated services experience (Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Windows Server 2012 and higher knowledge: File server, deduplication, DFS replication, Radius, Certificate Services, Bitlocker, IIS, Print Services, etc.
- Microsoft Azure, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Enterprise applications, SSO, Intune, etc.
- Cisco and Fortinet:
- Switching and routing protocols: VLANs, OSPF, ACLs, routing, etc.
- Firewalls
- AnyConnect and Fortinet FortiClient VPNs
- Duo, Meraki, and Umbrella
- Zoom Meeting, Phone and Zoom Rooms
- Nimble and QNAP Storage systems
- HP ProLiant Servers
- Veeam Backup and Replication
- Citrix Cloud
Additional Knowledge and experience preferred:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 and above
- iManage document management
- Understand and work with large volume datasets
- Data encryption methodologies
- PowerShell and other scripting languages
- MPLS Networks, Quality and Class of Service
- System Center Configuration Manager, and System Center Endpoint Protection
- Mobile Device Management and associated best practices
