Tom Machisak focuses his practice on insurance defense, civil litigation, and construction law. He has experience defending companies in various matters with an emphasis on personal injury claims.

Tom has experience handling matters at all stages, from pre-litigation investigation through all phases of the litigation process. Tom also has experience in first-party insurance work advising insurance clients on the handling of claims asserted by their insureds.

Tom has experience defending companies from the transportation, petrochemical, construction, hospitality, and insurance industries, including numerous Fortune 500 companies and other industry leaders in various claims including negligence and breach of contract matters.

Obtained summary judgment on behalf of grocery store in premises liability suit arising from alleged personal injury occurring inside one of its Harris County locations.

Obtained summary judgment on behalf of international product supplier/motor carrier in personal injury suit arising out of side underride collision.

Obtained favorable ruling on appeal for Fortune 500 company stemming from jurisdictional issue in suit arising from an alleged burn injury in the petrochemical setting.

Drafted briefing in international arbitration relating to eight-figure breach of contract arising from product dispute at petrochemical facility.

Drafted dispositive motion on behalf of Fortune 500 company in a negligence/breach of contract matter that resulted in voluntary dismissal by Plaintiff.
