Jared Widenbaum focuses his practice on professional liability defense, representing professionals and their insurers in litigation and in proceedings before regulatory bodies. He represents insurance agents and brokers, lawyers, accountants, real estate professionals, and property management companies in Texas state and federal courts, handling matters from initial claim evaluation and carrier reporting through dispositive motions, trial, and alternative dispute resolution. Jared also defends businesses against consumer claims brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Texas Debt Collection Act, and Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

Jared emphasizes early case assessment and disciplined discovery. He works to isolate the standard-of-care and causation questions that will decide a matter, and he keeps carriers and insureds informed of exposure as a case develops so they can make resolution decisions before litigation costs accumulate.

Before joining the firm, Jared represented commercial property owners in Texas in reducing their property tax obligations. He also has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury litigation, which helps him assess the claims involved at every stage of the litigation process.
