
Emmy Kunka focuses her practice on a variety of litigation areas, including commercial litigation, construction defects, and product liability.
Prior to joining the firm, Emmy practiced as a commercial litigation attorney, representing clients in a variety of matters, including oil and gas, financial institution defense, and creditors’ rights.
She strives to take a personable, zealous approach with her clients and to keep them fully involved and advised throughout all stages of litigation.
Representative Experience
Second-chaired arbitration on behalf of a plaintiff against a publicly traded oil and gas corporation involving claims exceeding $50 million; managed case strategy and presentation. Co-managed the litigation from inception through arbitration, handling all aspects of discovery, expert depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Drafted and successfully obtained summary judgment on client’s affirmative claims for breach of contract and declaratory relief.
Represented Banks in numerous replevin actions across Texas, securing possession of collateral and protecting client interests.
Obtained writs of garnishment and enforced judgments on behalf of financial institutions to recover outstanding obligations.
