Alex Gonzalez is a trial attorney who primarily practices in general liability/catastrophic injury defense, focusing on defending against personal injury, Dram Shop Act, wrongful death, and construction defect claims. Drafted a successful appellate brief in the Third Court of Appeals in Austin, Texas, which affirmed the trial court's decision to dismiss the plaintiff's claims against the premises owner client in their entirety through summary judgment.
Drafted, filed, and argued a successful Motion for Summary Judgment on gross negligence claim against restaurant owner client in Dram Shop Act case.
Deposed dozens of plaintiffs and fact witnesses in multi-district litigation in defense of mass tort claim for product liability.
Tried a case solo in JP Court and won a take-nothing judgment against the plaintiff seeking maximum damages against the property management client for a fire in an apartment complex.
Drafted, filed, and argued a successful Motion for Summary Judgment on premises liability, negligence, and breach of contract claims against a general contractor client.
Drafted, filed, and argued a successful Motion for Summary Judgment on workers' compensation as plaintiff's exclusive remedy against a temporary/joint employer client.
Drafted and filed (for Hearing on submission) successful Motion for Summary Judgment on workers' compensation as plaintiff's exclusive remedy against premises owner client.
