Thompson Coe represented a construction company in a personal injury / premises liability / construction injury case in which the plaintiff claimed to have fallen into an excavated sidewalk. The plaintiff claimed multiple orthopedic injuries – knee, ankle and back – as well as a neurological condition, which he claimed would cause chronic pain/total disability for the rest of his life. Plaintiff’s counsel argued the case was worth $10 million.

After a seven-day trial, the jury unanimously found no negligence on the part of our company or any defendant and placed all the negligence on plaintiff.

The Thompson Coe team representing the construction company included attorneys Jeff Otto and Tasha Waddell, as well as paralegal Kiyomi Armistead.
