Dallas Partner Cassie Dallas Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by TBLS

Dallas partner, Cassie Dallas, recently became Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Cassie has been handling  appellate matters for the past ten years, and is now one of a very select group of Texas lawyers who have achieved Board Certification in Civil Appellate Law.

The Board Certification process is rigorous and thorough with stringent, ongoing requirements after initial certification. Board Certified attorneys must be licensed for at least five years, devote a required percentage of practice to a specialty area for at least three years, attend continuing education seminars, pass an evaluation by fellow lawyers and judges and pass a 6-hour written examination.

“This is an important milestone in her career. She worked hard to obtain this voluntary designation and we are very proud of her accomplishment,” said Wade Crosnoe, the section leader of the appellate law practice.

Board Certification is offered in 24 specific areas of law to attorneys. To remain certified attorneys must apply for re-certification every five years and meet substantial involvement, peer review and continuing legal education requirements for their specialty area.
