Case K. Donovan

Case Donovan is a native Austinite and senior attorney in the litigation section of the Austin office. His practice focuses on general civil litigation and defending lawsuits involving commercial and tort-based claims in state and federal courts across Texas.

Case has experience representing a broad range of clients, including but not limited to construction contractors, architects, engineers, construction and building materials suppliers, commercial property owners, property owners’ associations, directors of nonprofit corporations, schools, religious organizations, utility suppliers, bars, restaurants, and individuals.

Case applies his problem-solving abilities and personality to the practice of law, focusing on client needs and desires while leading them to favorable outcomes, whether that be dispositive relief, settlement, or trial. In his free time, Case enjoys seeing live music, following Texas Tech sports, and spending time with his wife, Sara, and their two beautiful daughters.

Representative Experience

Acted as second chair in federal court jury trial and obtained a take-nothing judgment on behalf a major insurer in a matter involving a fatal motor vehicle accident.

Obtained summary judgment on behalf of an oil and gas pipeline owner and operator in a personal injury case arising out of a pipeline explosion.

Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a large corporation on the basis that its employee deviated from the course and scope of employment at the time of a serious motor vehicle accident.

Obtained summary judgment on behalf of bowling alley in a dram shop action brought by a pedestrian injured by an intoxicated driver.

Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a contractor involving premises liability claims arising out of a fatal slip-and-fall incident.

Represented an international corporation in a case arising out of a chemical exposure incident that resulted in multiple fatalities.
