Thompson Coe is pleased to announce that two new members have been elected to the firm’s management committee, effective January 1, 2021.

On November 30, all equity partners met for a vote and elected Partners Barry Moscowitz and Stephanie Rojo as new management committee members.

“I am thrilled to have Stephanie and Barry join the firm’s management committee,” said Shawn Phelan, the committee chairman. “I look forward to working alongside them as we reaffirm our unwavering dedication to excellent client service, and I know that the firm will continue to great success under their leadership.”

Moscowitz represents clients in employment and complex commercial litigation, trademark litigation, healthcare liability lawsuits, catastrophic personal injury litigation, and lawsuits involving products and premises liability. As an experienced trial lawyer, he has tried more than 100 jury cases to verdict in both state and federal courts. Moscowitz was recognized in The Best Lawyers in America in Labor & Employment Litigation – Defendants for 2020 and 2021. “I am honored to have been elected by my peers as a member of the management committee,” said Moscowitz. “I look forward to expanding on the growth we have experienced in 2020 and implementing new technologies that will benefit both our clients and the firm. I also look forward to managing the incredibly collaborative culture that continues to thrive at Thompson Coe.”

Rojo is an employment and commercial litigator, board-certified in Labor & Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and has served as the Section Head of the firm’s Labor & Employment Section in recent years. In addition to defending organizations against a wide variety of employment disputes as well as against complex commercial claims, she advises employers on compliance with federal and state employment laws and prepares employment contracts, handbooks, and other policies. Rojo was named in 2019 and 2020 as a Texas Super Lawyer, and in 2017 and 2018 was named one of 50 Up-and-Coming Women Rising Stars. “I am excited to have the opportunity to serve the firm on the Management Committee,” said Rojo. “In this new role, I look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth and success as a leading law firm, and as a pioneer in promoting diversity and inclusion amongst its attorneys and staff.
