Jared Starr is a trial lawyer who focuses his practice on defending and counseling clients in professional liability litigation, including lawyers, doctors and nurses, real estate agents, insurance agents, property management companies, and other professional clients. This representation includes not only pre-suit consultations and litigation but also representation of professionals before the Texas Real Estate Commission, the Texas Medical Board, and the Texas Board of Nursing.

Representative Experience

Successfully secured 91a Partial Motion to Dismiss in complex legal malpractice case involving both individual and derivative claims.

Obtained full dismissal of a complex failure-to-procure insurance case under Rule 91a of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.

Obtained a take nothing defense judgment at trial in favor of a real estate agent in a $300,000 claim.

Successfully secured partial summary judgment and 166(g) dismissal of Plaintiffs’ primary claims in a complex, multi-million-dollar, legal malpractice claim, which subsequently led to the non-suit of Plaintiffs’ remaining claims.
