Erika Cunningham focuses on civil defense litigation and insurance coverage matters. She has experience handling a variety of litigation, including first and third-party property losses in the commercial and residential property context, construction defense, commercial trucking, personal injury, and professional liability.

Erika also has experience representing architects, engineers, surveyors, and contractors in construction disputes. She prides herself on her professionalism, effective client communication, and strong work ethic, which allow her to reach favorable resolutions for her clients while also being cost-effective.


Background

Erika grew up in Maryland, just outside of Washington, D.C. She is licensed to practice in Louisiana, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia. Erika started her legal career with a law firm in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; however, she fell in love with New Orleans during her years at Tulane Law and returned to make New Orleans her home.

Represented insurers in commercial and residential property coverage disputes involving property damage and business interruption claims

Represented clients in other areas of general civil litigation including commercial transportation, premises liability, medical malpractice, employment practice, and general negligence
