Derek D. Bauman

Derek Bauman is board-certified in civil appellate law through the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He has dedicated his legal career to working on appellate matters both within the courts and in private practice. He served as a briefing attorney for a year and as a staff attorney for eight years at the First Court of Appeals in Houston.

Derek has expertise in civil appeals and mandamus proceedings in appellate courts, as well as motion practice in trial courts. In private practice, he not only focuses on the right legal arguments to make but also on the most effective way to present them to the court.
