The legal news publication, Law360, released their annual “Glass Ceiling Report” where they surveyed 291 U.S. based firms for female attorney representation at all levels. Thompson Coe is ranked 31st among law firms of its size, 101-250 attorneys. This is the 9th year in a row Thompson Coe has been featured on the Glass Ceiling Report.

Law360 noted that there is still work to do across the legal industry due to the fact that “female attorneys more frequently encounter a lack of mentorship and often have a greater caregiving burden than their male counterparts. More at-home responsibilities heighten the importance of flexible work arrangements.”

Based on these challenges, Law360 refreshed the pipeline scores from last year’s report, assessing the proportion of women at firms’ equity partner, nonequity partner and associate levels. This year’s score also adds in an assessment of firms’ female counsel and staff attorneys.

Women comprise approximately 29 percent of Thompson Coe partners, 55 percent of associates, and 40 percent women overall.
