Thompson Coe Climbs Law360 400; Recognized for Diversity in American Lawyer

Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, L.L.P (Thompson Coe) has recently been ranked by the prominent legal news publication, Law360, as the 220th largest firm in the nation, moving 28 places from 248 in 2016. Law360 surveyed U.S.-based law firms and vereins with a U.S. component and ranked the 400 largest by domestic attorney headcount.

In addition to being ranked among the largest U.S. firms, Thompson Coe made an appearance in The American Lawyer article, "Overview: Meet the GCs Who May Finally Move the Needle on Diversity," as the firm with the 2nd highest percentage of African American attorneys among Am Law 200 and NLJ 250 firms in 2016. According to ALM, "in 2016, as was the case in 2015, African-Americans comprised only 3.0 percent of Big Law attorneys: 3.9 percent of nonpartners and 1.9 percent of partners." At 7.5%, Thompson Coe more than doubled the Big Law average.
