Partner David Jewett Joins San Antonio Office

Thompson Coe is pleased to welcome partner David Jewett to our growing San Antonio office. With more than 16 years’ experience, David will add to the depth of our General Liability and Casualty section.
I am excited to join the deep bench of trial attorneys at Thompson Coe and will continue to advocate for my clients with the discipline and grit needed. I have always found that trial practice is about finding a relatable story within each case and telling that story in a compelling way to the jury. To be an effective trial attorney, I believe you must be a professional storyteller.
David has focused his practice on defending clients in automobile and trucking liability, premises liability, construction defects, and insurance coverage. He has experience defending first-party and third-party personal injury cases in South and Central Texas, from inception through trial. David has a reputation as an effective trial attorney and has obtained defense verdicts with no award to plaintiffs in 6 of his last 27 jury trials.
As a former TV news anchor, he is a great communicator who thrives on presenting cases in front of juries. He also worked for more than 10 years in-house for two different Fortune 200 insurance carriers.
David received his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law and his B.A. from Trinity University.
