Frances O’Meara to Speak at 2015 Claims College –School of Professional Lines
Ms. Frances O’Meara, Administrative Partner, Thompson Coe & O’Meara LLP, will be speaking at the CLM 2015 Claims College School of Professional Lines. The 2015 Claims College will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, September 9-12.
Each school is comprised of three levels and successful completion of all levels in a particular school will earn participants a respected and sought after designation, which will become the industry standard for identifying top-notch claims professionals. For individual schools, levels consist of pre-course reading materials, in-class instruction, group projects and an exam. The Claims College is not an industry seminar or conference, this is a true educational experience designed to help educate and grow the claims profession.
Frances M. O’Meara is a nationally recognized professional malpractice attorney who concentrates her practice in errors and omissions defense for attorneys, accountants, architects, insurance agents, real estate brokers, and appraisers. Frances is certified by the California State Bar as a Certified Legal Malpractice Specialist. She advises professionals and law firms on legal professional and ethical issues, and issues relating to risk management and loss control.
Frances works directly with major insurance carriers throughout the United States, non-insured attorneys, large corporations, and financial institutions. She has extensive experience in D&O claims, commercial litigation, with an emphasis on fidelity, fiduciary and surety claims investigation and litigation.
Frances also has experience in the area of employment litigation, including discrimination claims, employment contracts, and retaliation and sexual harassment claims. She also handles fidelity and bond matters throughout the State of California. Before joining Thompson Coe & O'Meara, Frances was a Managing Partner of the O'Meara Law Group and a Managing Partner of the Los Angeles office of Kaufman Dolowich Voluck & Gonzo, LLP, where she also served as the Chair of KDVG's Diversity Committee. Before joining KDVG , Ms. O'Meara was a Partner with Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, and before Hinshaw she was a Partner at Haight Brown & Bonesteel LLP.
