Matthew Gigliotti primarily focuses his practice on professional liability. He is committed to solving problems with excellence and strives to become a trusted advisor for all his clients by listening and identifying key details to understand problems from different perspectives. Matthew works to create order and clarity and finds elegance in systems and processes.
Prior to joining Thompson Coe, Matthew helped lead a group of attorneys and trade experts to carry out the largest corporate compliance monitorship in United States history. The monitorship assessed and reported on a global Chinese telecommunication company’s compliance with the terms of its plea agreement. The matter focused on U.S. export control laws and the implementation of a best-in-class compliance program. Matthew led meetings with the Department of Justice, conducted site visits and investigations at subsidiaries in countries all around the world, and authored reports to the federal court overseeing the company’s probation.
Before attending law school, Matthew owned and operated a successful business that imported products from Asia.
