In April 2014, Jessica L. Mangrum, Partner at Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, L.L.P. , was unanimously selected to join The University of Texas at Austin School of Architecture Dean’s Advisory Council.
This council provides key support to the school’s students, faculty, programs, and facilities. Members come from a variety of professional backgrounds, including architecture, planning, interior design, engineering, education, real estate development, law, and civic leadership.
In this special role, Mangrum will work with her peers as an ambassador between the school and the greater Austin community. John V. Nyfeler, FAIA, who serves as Chair of the council’s Membership Committee, notes, “in her practice, Ms. Mangrum demonstrates an exceptional understanding of the intersection of the law and the professional practice of architecture. Her knowledge and expertise now bring a guiding resource to the Dean’s Advisory Council that will further our progress to become the most influential and productive of all Schools of Architecture.”
Mangrum will officially begin her three year term on September 1, 2014.
