Thompson Coe Appoints Six New Partners

Thompson, Coe, Cousins & Irons, L.L.P. is pleased to announce the election of six new partners – Jesse B. Butler, Jamie R. Carsey, Russell L. Dennis, Jessica L. Mangrum, Stephanie S. Rojo and Heather H. Sauter.

Jesse B. Butler is a member of the Business Transactions & Commercial Litigation section and is based in the Austin office. He represents a wide array of clients, including creditors, debtors, defendants, plaintiffs, large corporations, and individuals in federal and state courts throughout Texas. Mr. Butler has a wide variety of experience in commercial litigation, professional liability litigation, energy litigation, bankruptcy, administrative law, toxic tort litigation, product liability litigation, LLC formations, and business contract formations.

Jamie R. Carsey’s practice focuses primarily on civil litigation and the direct representation of personal and commercial lines insurance carriers in coverage disputes involving breach of contract and bad faith allegations. She also represents clients in the areas of product liability, personal injury, and construction defects. She is a member of the Insurance Coverage & Litigation section is based in the Houston office.

Russell L. Dennis’ practice focuses primarily on representing insurers on coverage matters and bad faith litigation with insureds under general liability policies, homeowners and commercial property policies, workers’ compensation policies, and life, health, accidental death and disability policies. He has first and second chair trial experience in both jury and bench trials throughout Texas. Mr. Dennis is a member of the Insurance Coverage & Litigation section and is based in the Dallas office.

Jessica L. Mangrum is a member of the Litigation and Products Liability & Mass Torts sections and is based in the Austin office. Her practice focuses on civil litigation in a wide variety of areas, including construction law, professional liability, personal injury, products liability, contract disputes, claims against insurance companies, and representation of individuals, churches, and companies. The majority of her work has been in state and federal court in the Central Texas area.

Stephanie S. Rojo’s practice focuses primarily on labor and employment law, insurance coverage, and insurance defense. She represents employers in discrimination and retaliation lawsuits and charges of discrimination, wage claims, suits for breach of contract and various employment-related torts, and suits for violation of state and federal statutes. Ms. Rojo is Board Certified in Labor & Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She also regularly represents insurance carriers in declaratory actions and advises them on appropriate coverage positions to take with respect to their policyholders and other insurers. Ms. Rojo is a member of the Labor & Employment and Insurance Coverage & Litigation sections and is based in the Austin office.

Heather H. Sauter is a member of the Litigation and Products Liability & Mass Torts sections and is based in the Dallas office. Her litigation practice focuses on premises liability, products liability, and construction cases. Ms. Sauter represents product manufacturers and distributors, premises owners, hospitals, apartment complexes, movie theatres, alarm and security companies, commercial and residential contractors, real estate agents, and unions in a broad range of tort and contract-related matters. This includes personal injury, wrongful death, and property damage cases.
