Laura Alaniz Speaking on HR & Women's Diversity

Houston Labor and Employment partner, Laura Alaniz, will be speaking at two large HR and diversity conferences in May: the Women, Diversity and Change Summit on May 15th and the 2019 Gulf Coast Symposium on Human Resource Issues on May 16th.

At the 2019 Gulf Coast Symposium on Human Resource Issues, one of the largest HR conferences in the country, Laura will be speaking on "ADA Accommodations that Come With Fur and a Tail: Dealing with Accommodations for Emotional Support Animals and How to Address Other Mental Health Accommodations."

At the Women Diversity and Change Summit, an event geared toward women lawyers and GC/Corporate counsel, she will be speaking on a panel addressing"Unconscious Bias & Discrimination" and how to deal with it. The presentation will cover types of unconscious bias, such as powerful language, institutional bias, and ignorance and education, and how to approach and report it.
