Biography

Michael “Mike” Hess is a civil litigator who primarily focuses his practice on professional liability matters involving lawyers, accountants, insurance agents, construction workers, real estate brokers, and other professional clients.

Mike joined the firm after working as a Compliance Attorney for three years at a large consulting firm in downtown Dallas. In that capacity, Mike advised Fortune 500 clients on a wide array of complex legal issues in order to avoid civil litigation or government censure. Mike graduated from SMU Dedman School of Law in 2016 where he served as a Clinic Chief and Student Attorney in the SMU Criminal Justice Clinic, and as a judicial intern to the Honorable Judge Gena Slaughter of the 191st Civil District Court in Dallas County. Prior to law school, Mike was a US Army Officer and Airborne Ranger on active duty for over seven years. Mike is also the co-founder and Director of RISE: Reaching Individuals through Service and Education; a Texas Non-Profit Organization dedicated to providing legal representation and limited-scope direct services to those residents of North Texas in need.

  • Represented more than 30 defendants in Dallas County Criminal Courts
