Biography

Kristen Barnebey is dedicated to defending professionals and entities across her many areas of expertise. After working in worker’s compensation, car accident cases, and subrogation cases, Kristen quickly expanded her skillset by working with a range of organizations that included realtors, inspectors, insurance adjustors, third-party administrators, religious organizations, and construction companies. With this experience, Kristen discovered she had a talent for legal research and building lasting, genuine relationships with her clients.

Kristen is also passionate about service to her community. In 2014, she became the Assistant County Attorney for Aransas County where she began building a successful team of attorneys and staff in political environments. She continued to display this dedication by assisting in advocating for amendments to laws benefitting Aransas County during the 2015, 2017, and 2019 sessions.

Kristen went on to serve as the County District Attorney for Aransas County, and ran her own campaign. Her terms as District Attorney focused on ethical and just litigation within the community as she established county-wide standards for criminal cases and guidelines for attorneys.

Kristen conducts her cases with an ethical and practical approach that has been honed by her experience, knowledge, and skills. She handles her cases according to her personal motto “Whatever your threshold for risk in the market, I can take your contentious situations and create resolutions that meet your needs.” Kristen consistently holds meeting the needs of her clients, as well as building the relationships she has with them, as strong personal goals.
