Biography

Faisal K. Khan is a litigation associate in the Dallas office of Thompson Coe. His practice focuses on personal injury, premises liability, automobile/trucking accidents, breach of contract, professional liability, and general negligence cases. He has experience in various aspects of civil litigation, including depositions, discovery, mediations, arbitration, and motion practice.

Faisal graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He received his Juris Doctorate from SMU Dedman School of law in 2018, where he was adjudged Best Oral Advocate in the Jackson Walker Moot Court Competition and was the Trail Advocacy Mock Trial winner. During his time at law school, Faisal interned at the Office of the Attorney General of Texas, Child Support Division in Dallas and provided pro bono services to clients as a student attorney with the SMU Dedman Patent Clinic. Faisal was admitted to the Texas Bar in 2019 and began practicing soon after. He joined Thompson Coe as an Associate Attorney in 2021. His focus is primarily on insurance defense, commercial litigation, and professional liability.

Prior to beginning his law career, Faisal was associated with the information technology sector, working for such major corporations as PepsiCo and Ericsson in various capacities. His information technology and corporate background and experience provides his clients at Thompson Coe the competitive advantage of understanding IT and computer technologies and their confluence with the legal world. Before joining Thompson Coe, Faisal was an attorney at a major full-service litigation firm where he represented defendants in various insurance defense, construction defects, professional liability, personal injury, wrongful death, and breach of contract matters. Faisal has also practiced in the areas of contract management and trademark prosecution.
