TC Monthly Webinar: The Expansion of Joint Employer Liability - Emerging Trends in EPL Litigation

During this presentation, the audience learned about the ongoing expansion of joint employer liability by the Department of Labor and National Labor Relations Board.  They examined the tests generally used in each of the states in which Thompson Coe practices (California, Texas, Louisiana and Minnesota) and as well as the expansive joint employer liability tests suggested by the Department of Labor and National Labor Relations Board. Participants also learned how these tests are being applied by using two recent case studies and the potential implications on the expanding concept in employment practices liability litigation. They concluded by offering potential helpful tips to avoid being found subject to joint employer liability.
