Strategies for Handling Property Claims to Avoid Bad Faith

Upon completion of this course, the adjuster should have a better understanding of (1) what is bad faith conduct; (2) who can be held liable for bad faith conduct; (3) the adjuster’s roles and duties and to whom are those duties owed; (4) best claim handling practices as they relate to timing of the investigation and communications to the insured, third parties, and the claim file to avoid bad faith liability.
