Ridesharing has become a booming industry in recent years, resulting in the re-imagination of new insurance products to address coverage gaps in the current market. This topic will enhance attendees’ knowledge and understanding of the scope of coverage under personal auto policies and the policies offered by Transportation Network Companies, such as Uber and Lyft.  Further, the presenters will discuss recent case law and insurance regulations in Texas and other states that apply to autos used for ridesharing. Additionally, this topic will address how to conduct a comprehensive investigation of these new claims, including ethical considerations for insurance companies and adjusters handling claims pursuant to the new regulations.
