Conner Turner’s litigation practice primarily focuses on defending claims for professional liability, construction defects, and commercial vehicle accidents. Prior to becoming an attorney, Conner had extensive experience in commercial collections helping companies collect on their outstanding account receivables.

Conner attended South Texas College of Law and graduated in December 2015. Conner went on to work for a Galveston-based law firm for four years prior to joining Thompson Coe. Conner handled insurance defense matters achieving numerous favorable settlements has tried construction cases in both arbitrations and trials to defense-friendly verdicts.

Conner’s approach to any case is to analyze and evaluate the facts most favorable (and least favorable) to both parties and then implement the best legal strategies to successfully resolve disputes in favor of his clients. Conner is no stranger to the courthouse, so he enjoys when his clients get the opportunity “to have their day in court.”

Representative Experience

  • First-chaired construction defect trial in construction defect matter where Plaintiff sought over $3.5 million but the jury awarded Plaintiff less than half of damages requested
  • Second-chaired arbitration matter concerning residential construction defect where the plaintiff was seeking $2 million in damages and ultimately settled for under $100,000.00
  • Represented multiple waterproofing/weatherproofing subcontractors in multifamily apartment complexes
  • Represented concrete contractor regarding a dealership with defective concrete where Plaintiff sought over $4 million
  • Represented general contractor in a residential new build where damages are exceeding $500,000.00
  • Represented insured companies and their drivers in personal injury cases where damages have exceeded $1 million
  • Review construction contracts to identify scopes of work and advise clients on ways to improve future contracts
  • Represent companies seeking account receivables against other companies in commercial collection matters
  • Conducted and defended over 50 depositions in both personal injury defense and construction defect cases, including plaintiffs, defendants, fact witnesses, and experts
