Brent represents both private sector businesses and public entities (including directors, officers, and management officials) in employment litigation throughout Texas and the United States. His experience includes defending against claims brought under the Fair Labor Standards Act, state and federal civil-rights statutes, and the Texas Whistleblower Act, among others. Brent is also well-versed in litigating business torts, such as lawsuits based on misappropriation of trade secrets and the enforceability of non-competition agreements. Brent is fluent in the challenging field of eDiscovery, including its technical aspects, practical implications on clients, and ethical issues for counsel.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Brent served as an infantryman with the 82nd Airborne Division (including combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan). Along his path to becoming an attorney, Brent gained indispensable, real-world experience working in a variety of industries, including work as an armed security guard, substitute teacher, and an assembly worker for a leading manufacturer of Medium-Duty trucks. This diverse experience gives Brent a unique perspective as an attorney—a perspective that enables him to better serve and represent his clients.
