David Knoll Announced as FORC Chairman of the Board and President
It was announced this week that Thompson Coe attorney David Knoll has been appointed Chairman of the Board, President and the Chief Executive Officer of the Federation of Regulatory Counsel (FORC) for 2011. David will preside at all meetings of the Board of Directors, and have the general and active management of the business and affairs of FORC.
FORC is a professional association of insurance regulatory lawyers formed in 1988 for the purpose of (1) raising the standard of excellence in the practice of insurance regulatory law, and (2) promoting the expertise and abilities of its members to their clients, the insurance industry, and other lawyers requiring their special skills. Over the past 22 years, the FORC has become a prominent referral source for insurance company in-house counsel and executives in finding attorneys who are highly qualified and experienced in the practice of insurance regulatory and corporate law to represent their companies' interests before insurance regulatory agencies. Membership is limited to attorneys with demonstrated experience in the representation of insurance companies, agents, brokers, other related insurance licensees, or other entities regulated by any state or federal insurance regulatory body as a substantial part of their practice, and who have been recommended for membership by their clients. Currently, there are over 130 members practicing in 42 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada and the United Kingdom.
