Bill Mennucci has significant experience defending product designers, manufacturers, and sellers in personal injury and wrongful death cases, both at the trial and appellate levels. Bill currently handles all appellate aspects of trial as part of the trial team, including pre-trial motions, expert witness motions, evidentiary issues, preservation of error, directed verdicts, jury charge, and post-trial motions.

While Bill’s primary focus is automotive products liability cases, he has also handled many commercial, environmental, premises liability, class action, and “toxic tort” cases during his career.

• On trial team that obtained defense verdict for automobile manufacturer in wrongful death/fire case alleging defectively designed wiring system in State District Court in Waco, Texas. Secured directed verdict on punitive damage claims during trial.
• Secured dismissal for automobile manufacturer in State District Court in Corpus Christi, Texas of class action case alleging defects in fire propensity of police vehicles.
• Represented gravel pit operator in Amarillo Court of Appeals and in Texas Supreme Court in injured truck driver's appeal of defense trial judgment; judgment affirmed and petition for review denied. (370 S.W. 3d 416)
• Represented one of the largest private security companies in the United States in appeal of adverse multi-million dollar judgment involving sexual assault of shopping mall patron. Secured favorable settlement for client after briefing was completed and just before oral argument.
• Represented automobile manufacturer in appeals resulting in favorable published opinions in areas of economic loss doctrine, products liability evidence, and expert witnesses in Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio Courts of Appeals.
