Maria Moffatt has significant experience defending clients in civil litigation in both trial court and on appeal. Her practices currently includes representing insurance carriers in liability and automobile and property insurance coverage disputes and bad faith litigation.

Maria gained her litigation experience at a small well known litigation firm in Dallas prior to coming to Thompson Coe where her practice included representing automotive dealerships throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth area and in counties throughout West, Central and East Texas in lawsuits involving product liability claims, premises liability claims, breach of contract, deceptive trade practices claims and personal injury claims in both state and federal court. She also has experience representing clients, both individual employee and company employers in employment litigation disputes and matters pending before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Texas Workforce Commission and in lawsuits in state and federal courts. She also has experience representing insurance carriers in automobile policy and homeowner’s policy bad faith cases and UM/UIM cases. Additionally, she has experience representing residential home builders, commercial and residential general contractors, and subcontractors in construction defect cases.
