Lori Erwin has tried more than 70 jury and bench trials in both state and federal courts across Texas, as well as binding arbitrations, with favorable verdicts as first chair counsel in Austin, Brownsville, San Antonio, Waco, Dallas, Tyler, Hidalgo Co., Jefferson Co., Coryell Co., and numerous other West and East Texas counties. Her current docket includes cases involving personal injury, wrongful death claims, property damage, fire cause and origin claims, construction defect litigation, large multi-party multi-million dollar complex litigation, products liability, construction accidents, premises liability, DTPA, breach of contract, and other commercial disputes.
Lori has a broad background in civil defense litigation. She previously served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Law Enforcement Defense Division for the State of Texas where she supervised a team of attorneys handling lawsuits filed pursuant to the Texas Tort Claims Act for law enforcement agencies as well as Federal Civil Rights Act and employment litigation in Federal Court. Additionally, she has extensive insurance defense experience in the Rio Grande Valley and prior in-house counsel experience with insurance companies in San Antonio. |
