Overview Lori Erwin has tried more than 50 cases to verdict including cases involving personal injury, death, property damage, construction defect litigation, products liability, construction accidents, premises liability and commercial disputes.
Lori has a broad background in civil defense litigation. She previously served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Law Enforcement Defense Division for the State of Texas where she supervised a team of attorneys handling lawsuits filed pursuant to the Texas Tort Claims Act for law enforcement agencies as well as Federal Civil Rights litigation in Federal Court. Additionally, she has extensive insurance defense experience in the Rio Grande Valley. |

- Defended a construction company in a two-week trial in San Antonio involving the electrocution of a worker at a construction site.
- Defended a home builder in a two-week trial in Austin in a construction defect lawsuit involving claims of water infiltration, mold, and foundation issues.
- Defended an Austin company in a two-week trial in Austin involving a motorcycle accident in which Plaintiffs sought 1.5 million dollars for personal injury damages.
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a central Texas nonprofit agency in a Wrongful Death Action involving the death of a child.
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a University of Texas Fraternity in a Dram Shop death case.
- Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a home owner's association in a drowning death case.
- Obtained dismissal on behalf of an engineer in a construction defect/design lawsuit.
