Darrell Cockcroft practices civil trial litigation with an emphasis on personal injury and wrongful death claims, products liability, premises liability, dram shop cases and bad faith actions. Darrell has represented large insurance companies and Fortune 500 corporations as well as small businesses and individuals throughout Texas.

Representative Experience
  • Represented terminated assistant police chief in civil rights claim against city that settled for over $1 million.
  • Secured motion for summary judgment in federal district court and affirmation by circuit court of appeals in First Amendment case in which claimant alleged that public library’s refusal to engrave a sidewalk brick with inflammatory comments about library personnel during a fundraising drive violated free speech rights.
  • Represented nationally televised evangelist and ministry against personal injury claim allegedly incurred during rush to stage by parishioner attending crusade.
  • Tried lawsuits to favorable outcomes concerning claims for mold damage during “mold crisis.”
  • Resolved dram shop cases against various gentlemen’s clubs in Dallas/Fort Worth area during time when certain local municipalities sought to ban such establishments.
  • Represented individual in one of first "sexting" lawsuits in Texas.
  • Represented American manufacturer of roller coasters against personal injury claim allegedly incurred on tallest ride at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.
  • Resolved hundreds of residential and commercial claims resulting from Hurricanes Rita and Ike on Texas Gulf Coast on behalf of large insurance carrier.
